Description
"A Whole World" is a sensitive and powerful playground, a regular practice that invites you to discover clown theatre or to delve deeper into your own world! One Saturday a month from October to May 2027.
Beginners and experienced performers are welcome.
"A Whole World!" is a three-stage journey, a grand adventure!
1. THE FUNDAMENTALS
At the beginning, we learn to do nothing! We put down our bag! We breathe! And we let ourselves be surprised!
We learn to trust ourselves, to reconnect with our sensations, our bodies, and to let go of our thoughts (little by little).
We discover or rediscover our relationship with the audience, improvisation in the moment, without planning, joyful vulnerability.
We are, we are born! We let ourselves be clowned by the audience... effortlessly and unintentionally.
2. EXPLORING YOUR CLOWN MATERIALS
The clown's relationship to objects, the tools in Eric Blouet's toolbox (singing, dancing, etc.).
Poetry, storytelling, and other activities that will awaken your creative and sometimes unexpected side!
Solo, duo, and more improvisations.
3. CREATING FROM YOUR OWN UNIVERSE
Starting with what you love—poems, stories, spontaneous writing, songs—we'll let your inner clown explore its raw materials and weave your own universe. Participants will have the opportunity to revisit improvisations to deepen and explore the writing process.
There will also be an introduction to writing, alternating between stage work and writing practice.
At the end of the workshop, a friendly get-together with your audience.
WHAT DOES A TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE?
Each day begins with time to unwind and disconnect from daily life.
Then, depending on the day's theme, we'll move through movement, group exercises, and various warm-ups to unleash your imagination and quirky side!
We'll also participate in solo, duo, and/or group improvisations, guided and facilitated by Danielle.
Follow-up improvisations will follow.
