Discover the traditional fishing practices of the Dombes ponds through guided tours led by Diane, our tour guide.

Every year, the ponds that are fished are drained—like a bathtub—through a valve called “le thou.” The fish naturally gather at the deepest part of the pond, known as “le bief.” The fishermen spread a net from one end of this bief to the other, bringing the fish close to the bank, known as “la pêcherie.” Exclusive fishing experience, limited to 10 people. Be sure to bring boots or sturdy shoes and warm clothing. On-site tasting Places are limited - booking essential
