The Jardin Bio des Pays de l'Ain is a job placement workshop run by Tremplin. Vegetable production is certified Agriculture Biologique (Organic Farming) for healthy food, distributed in short circuits (farm gate sales) and promoting local employment.

Leaving Villars-les-Dombes in the direction of Versailleux, after about 5 km you'll see greenhouses on your right, at a place called Rebusson.

A small road leads to the farm, which comes alive every morning of the week, whatever the weather. The team, supervised by the vineyard manager, gets on with the day's tasks to bring the farm to life. The employees' daily routine also includes training and periods of immersion in the company, as their time at Le Jardin is just one stage in their employment career.

Some sixty varieties are grown. The vegetables produced are not the same size and uniformity as supermarket produce! But they are tasty and grown without chemicals.

You'll also rediscover some "forgotten" vegetables: sweet potatoes, parsnips (a kind of fragrant white carrot), Hungarian blue squash and more.

Volunteers also help out with seasonal tasks (weeding, hoeing) and occasional ones (setting up greenhouses, manning garden stands at association forums, organic fairs, etc.).
