“The Escape of Physalis” is about 2.5 hours of gameplay to enjoy with family and children from 8 years old, in the heart of Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne, independently and throughout the year.
Your mission is simple: by exploring the city in search of clues, you will find the code that opens the city gates.
Thus, young Physalis, thanks to you, can realize her dream and leave with her idol Philibert Commerson to live her own adventure.
To complete this mission, you just need to get the game available at the Tourist Office. (Opening hours: Tuesday to Friday from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm and from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Saturday from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm, and Sunday, from June to September, from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm).
Only one bag per family is needed. Be playful, agile, observant, and ingenious to fully enjoy this adventure!
Once the bag is purchased (€10), this game can be played all year round, at any time and any day, in one or multiple sessions.

We are in the year 1766.
The famous botanist Philibert Commerson, a native of Châtillon-les-Dombes, is about to embark on a new adventure with his companion, Jeanne Barret.
In a few days, they will take the ship for a journey to the four corners of the world.
Meanwhile, young Physalis, passionate about botany like her idol Commerson, spends all her free time observing flowers, identifying plants, and classifying them in her personal herbarium.
She has already cataloged different varieties of roses, daisies, and her favorites, poppies.
If she does well in school, Physalis hopes to one day follow in the footsteps of Philibert Commerson and become a botanist herself.
Today, Physalis received terrible news: her father, a wealthy merchant from Châtillon, has decided to send her tomorrow to the Ursuline Convent to become a nun. He wants a life of contemplation and safety for her.
Becoming a nun means no more plants, no more adventures; Physalis will be locked in the convent for the rest of her days!
All morning, she tries to get used to the idea, but nothing works… it is out of the question to abandon her dreams!
Standing on a bridge and looking at her reflection in the water, she decides to flee her small village to join the expedition of Philibert Commerson and Jeanne Barret. Intelligent and observant, Physalis prepares her escape plan: she will flee the medieval city tonight!
Problem… The city gates are closed and only open with a secret code. Clues to find this code are hidden all over the city, and Physalis is counting on you and her friends to find them, open the gates of Châtillon, and join Jeanne Barret’s cart to take her on her adventure…
